OpenStreetMap keeps two tags apart, and so does this register. amenity=bar is a place that serves drinks, often late and often with music; amenity=pub is a public house, where one can usually sit and often eat. Which of the two a venue carries is its mapper's judgement. Where the map holds one venue twice, as a point and as a building outline with the same name, it is one entry here.
